Life after university: what to expect

  1. You will know someone who will waltz into a job… but it won’t be you.
  2. You’ll feel like a failure, even though you’ve just spent 3 years of solid work to get to this point.
  3. Everyone and their dog will ask you what your ‘plan’ is.
  4. You’ll be rejected 1000000 times before you get your first break.
  5. People will suggest hysterical alternative career paths for you… private investigator? dog groomer? That’s what your £30,000 in debt for right?
  6. You’ll watch people with less talent than you get the job you want.
  7. You’ll spend a lot of time complaining about your situation, to other people who are in exactly the same boat, but none of you will know what to do.
  8. You’ll seriously start to consider those alternative career paths… Scrubbing poodles wouldn’t be so bad would it?
  9. You think every job you apply for is, THE ONE.
  10. You finally have time to do all those things you didn’t have time to while you were studying… but you won’t, you have Netflix watching to get done, PRIORITIES.
  11. You’ll seriously miss getting your student loan, but you’ll still spend like it’s in your account anyways.

Sounds like it sucks to be a post-grad! The job market is so intense for you guys…. wish I had some advice to help you. But dog grooming does sound like fun!
